Drawing has been part of my life
since I could hold a pencil. Words of encouragement from family
and teachers have fueled my artistic interest.
Working with a pen builds trust.
What is created now, is there for all to see. No erasures to correct
the flaws. It takes believing and a lot of patience to complete
an illustration. The textures and weights have to feel right.
Whenever possible my drawings are
created in front of the subject. It creates a sense of honesty.
When you are there, you only have that time to capture that special
something, something for the others who couldn't be there - it keeps
you totally present in the moment.
